About the Department

The Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, formerly the Department of Information Technology, was established in 2001. The department first offered a Master program only. In 2002, the undergraduate program was established. The Doctoral program was established in 2006.

There are about 30 faculty members in this department, and they are all experts in their fields of study. Whether in teaching or research, the department struggles to match the interest of the students and the society. We encourage students and teachers to conduct independent studies and innovative research.

The curriculum in this department includes basic and core courses.  We offer three major programs and many selective courses. Special topic offers the students diversity in their study. Students can choose courses depending on their interests or take courses from other departments to work towards a double major to develop their professional ability and second skill.
